A year at University or Technikon could costs anything between R60 000.00 and R100 000.00 if you include all the hidden costs such as transport, accommodation, food, tuition, books etc. Consider the total cost, again including all hidden costs of a year overseas.

The total cost of the programme is R90 000.00 (VAT Exclusive) whereof R30 000.00 is payable as soon as confirmation of acceptance has been received. Payment plans can be arranged and should be negotiated on an individual basis. Finance packages can be negotiated on an individual basis. Contact us to discuss your specific needs and let’s work out a plan that will suit your pocket. Consider the value of each of the courses as part of the programme and you will find that this is excellent value for money.

The cost includes transport, accommodation, food, all activities, workshops, courses and certifications.

Excluded in the cost is equipment as per attached list, personal items, Socials and pocket money (See list of exclusions under cost structure)
What is so special about this programme and why should I consider it?

All human beings would like to develop and grow, to make a difference and to know that there is a real meaning to their existence. At the same time, because of the need to survive, there is continuous effort to make it in the world and as such to adapt, to be accepted and to conform.   The result is that most human beings have lost contact with who they really are and with their purpose in life.   A very limited group of young adults will be selected to participate in the programme; we believe that personal attention to each student is extremely important.

The programme is not for children, and participants are treated as young adults and it is therefore important that you really want this as it is not always fun and games. Please understand that it is our personal purpose and mission to ensure that each young adult that graduates from this programme leaves with a vision of their direction and purpose.

If there is limited space available, what are the selection criteria?
As part of the application form, you are required to complete a confidential questionnaire. A panel of facilitators will be evaluating the answers and should it be necessary a short interview will be arranged with you. The objective is to determine how committed you are towards the programme. Understanding the objectives of the programme and your personal expectations and commitment is of vital importance.
I am afraid of horses; do I have to ride them?
As part of discovering our strengths and ourselves, it is sometimes expected of us to go beyond our comfort zone and face some of our fears. It is part of our responsibility to you, to create environments where you could discover more about yourself and to challenge you to do things that you would never have considered doing. Should you however feel strongly about a specific activity, you will not be forced to participate.
Is the programme based on any specific religion?
No, the programme is not based on any specific religion. The programme should, however, enhance and strengthen your own religious beliefs. Times and transport will be scheduled for students wishing to attend church services on Sundays. Any special request will be catered for as far as possible to ensure that participants can practice their religious practices and cultures.
How much free time will we have and how often could we see our loved ones
During the two-week break in April and in June you are allowed to go home. There are special occasions when, parents, family and friends will be invited to join us to allow them to share some of the magic that you will be experiencing.
What about certifications?
Most of the courses/workshops are certified. All participants who complete the programme will receive a final certificate of completion.
What is the accommodation like?
You will stay in groups of four in log cabins with one bathroom (Bath and Shower). Male and female stay separately. The camp is in Magoebaskloof, Limpopo Province, South Africa close to the town of Tzaneen, in a dense forest area.  The whole group shares the kitchen, dining and lounge area that is built in a bush camp style. Many of the activities take place away from the base and you should not be spending more than three months here. When out there, we will be camping mostly.
Are we allowed to smoke?
The programme is for young adults and you will be treated as such. It is, however, also expected of you to act as such. Should you wish to smoke, that is your choice and you will not be stopped. Drugs and alcohol abuse will not be tolerated and could result in you being asked to leave the programme without remuneration.
What about cell phones?
There is cell phone reception at the base camp but not necessarily at all the venues that we use for the programme. During courses or activities cell phones will be stored in safe keeping and will be handed to you at specific times.
What about Emergency situations?
The camp is in Magoebaskloof and the doctor stays approximately 3 Km's from the site. He is on a 24-hour standby during the programme. The closest private hospital is in Tzaneen approximately 18Km's from the camp. Arrangements with a hospital in Pongola are in place to handle any emergencies. Be assured that the utmost care is taken when doing extreme activities. Instructors are responsible for the safety of each student.
What about security?
For each 16 students a permanent staff member is appointed. This facilitator is responsible to take care of all the needs in their group. It is their responsibility to arrange and manage the group's activities each day, and be on stand by 24 Hours. There are currently 8 permanent staff members and approximately 35 temporary facilitators, each a specialist in their area. A permanent security guard is on duty at night to patrol the campsite area and 24-hour radio communications with the local farm association is in place.
May I bring my own car?
It is not necessary to have a car. We travel in one bus to all the destinations. You will not be allowed to use your car while on the programme.
