SELF ACTUALISATION AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

Personal Development & Performance Coaching Workshops

Everyday we are presented with opportunities to either live a “Business-as-usual” life, or to create something beyond who we’ve been and what we know. We know that every human being has potential far beyond what they’ve ever thought, but we need knowledge to put this to use. Because it is your life, this knowledge must come from within you. These workshops are a profound journey of discovery, allowing participants to explore who they are and how they can truly manifest a meaningful vision for their life. A truly effective tools for making all relationships work. A technique for breaking through to new levels of intimacy, effectiveness and self expression. To explore the opportunity, they have to express themselves as individuals, discover and pursue their passion in life.

We know that each person is truly unique! We each experience life in our own way. We learn from our past experiences, culture, education and upbringing. Even identical twins each have a unique outlook on life. We develop this outlook into ways of being and acting. We develop patterns of behavior, practices and approaches that make up our personality, our style – who we consider ourselves to be – and ultimately what we consider reality to be. It is human to construct such realities, however we forget (or can not see) that we are the ones who construct them. The recognition of this and the striking limits that it imposes allows for a refreshing freedom. People, situations, and our approach to life can alter dramatically – if we choose.

Situations that may have been challenging or difficult become fluid and open to change. Participants find themselves no longer limited by a finite set of options, and able to achieve what they want with new ease and enjoyment. They are left, possibly for the first time, with a choice of whom they are and who they can be. There is freedom and ability to take action that was unavailable before – even familiar actions produce a whole new level of effectiveness.

Participants will have the opportunity to create a breakthrough in their ability to:

  • Communicate effectively and listen for the value in what others say
  • See rules and agreements as a way to have life work
  • Generate excellence in studies and in the areas of life that are important to them
  • Know themselves as someone who makes a profound difference
  • Experience appreciation for their parents and siblings as well as other human beings
  • Deal effectively with peer pressure
  • Be responsible and accountable in a way that empowers themselves and others
  • Powerfully face the risks and challenges of life

We explore Values

Being a young adult is a challenge. Between what the world, school and parents expect from young adults there is very little space for the authentic self to be expressed. What if young adults can internalise the values being taught, so that it comes from the authentic self, and not externally? Values such as commitment, dignity, honor and integrity are being explored, amongst many others.

We build Self Esteem and Self Worth

Low self esteem and self worth are very common human challenges. By facilitating the exploration of our young adult’s values and purpose in life, they add to their meaning, self worth and self-esteem.

Learning new “Language”
Language is action. We observe, think and act in language. By learning a new “language”, we have more possibilities to choose our action and behavior from. By being able to make clear distinctions, or just becoming aware of differences, we learn more ways of thinking and doing. Our processes expose young adults to a new “language” that becomes a tool for life. We have conversations about “language” for self-love, “language” for success and “language” for taking responsibility.

Life Tools

By playing the Victim (poor me), the saboteur, the “unwanted child”, the “I am not good enough” role is a setup for failure. Young Adults, through games and conversations will learn about taking responsibility, making commitments, believing in themselves, exploring their own potential. Emotional Intelligence is not a subject offered in school and is often learned the hard way in life. It is one of our reality based experiential outcomes in a safe environment!

Dolphin Experience (Southern Mozambique)

Dolphin experience prides itself in giving students an intimate experience with nature, allowing them to come face to face with wide bottle-nose dolphins on their terms - no pools, no trainers, no feeding - just you and the dolphins in the big blue. There is no coaxing here, it is the dolphins world and they take the initiative. The facilitators hope to protect and conserve the marine environment and the animals it support for future generations.

The full Dolphin Experience consists of:

  • Briefing on how to interact with the dolphins, following an international code of conduct. Students are told the do’s and don’ts when interacting with dolphins.
  • Boat rides out to meet the dolphins
  • Students are introduced to the marine environment, discovering the underwater kingdom.
  • Usage of mask and snorkel

The facilitators work pro-actively at conserving the dolphins, determining where and when recreational boating, diving, fishing and other invasive activities by man threaten them.
