The Warriors Academy is well known for our internationally accredited gap year and gap year travel programs, but for the past 12 years, Warriors has also been part of the International Rotary Organisation through the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA). The concept of Rotary is to bring together businesses and individuals to do good and to uplift people in the surrounding communities.
The Warriors Academy currently hosts a RYLA Camp twice a year. This is an official sanctioned D9400 RYLA where clubs in various districts have the opportunity to sponsor young leaders in the community.
During this camp, attendees will take part in both outdoor activities and indoor presentations. Topics are tailored to age groups in attendance, but all programs emphasise leadership skills, personal development, emotional development and citizenship.
Who should attend?
-
All exchange students (both inbound and outbound) are welcome to attend at the cost of their D9400 Rotary Club (not compulsory)
-
Interactors and Rotactors
-
Secondary school students (Leaders should be identified)
-
Young leaders in your community (Perfect opportunity to develop new members and to promote Rotary as a vibrant organisation to belong to.)
The Magoebaskloof RYLA committee would like to extend an invitation to all clubs and districts to support your district RYLA programs and make a contribution to the development of our future leaders. Feel free to contact us, should you need to discuss the District RYLA programs.
